Posh Girl Vintage

I am a conoisseur of all things vintage. If I could outfit myself entirely in vintage dresses and skirts, I would. As it is, I could never afford to do that. Posh Girl Vintage happens to have some of the nicest vintage dresses I've ever seen, with the incredibly high price tags to match.
Lately I find myself browsing their catalog and thinking of a time when I would be married in a small, quiet ceremony in a dress similar to one of these beauties:

Threadless

Since everyone else has posted about Threadless on their wishlist blogs, I feel it is now my turn. Threadless is an amazing site that allows designers to submit t-shirt designs that the public then votes on. The higher the rating a shirt gets, the better a chance it has of being made into a shirt. I now own 2 threadless shirts, and would love to own many more. I've cut down my want list to these five:

I like the play on the idea of the "map of the human heart."

Since UC Irvine's mascot is the anteater, I feel this shirt is appropriate.

Adorable nostalgia.

Pandas and Robots-- two of my favorite things.

Soon I will be a full blown Statistician, and I like how this shirt plays with that.

Crowded Teeth

Today I would like to recognize my friend Michelle Romo's website, Crowded Teeth. Michelle has been plugging away at her graphic art and online store for many years now and I think everything she does is adorable and wonderful. I've yet to buy anything from her store (I should really remedy this), but I have received handcrafted Crowded Teeth Christmas cards for several years. Check out her vast array of graphic tees. I would love to own this owl print tee.

You may also recognize Michelle's shirts from the popular NBC show, Scrubs. Check out the gallery of shirts that have appeared on the show here. It's the perfect marriage of things; cute shirts and comedy. Here's hoping Michelle's career continues to take off.

Made with love by Hannah

Another highly coveted item. These skirts from Made with love by Hannah have been around for years, and I have yet to rationalize spending that much for a handmade skirt. Each one is truly a work of art and I hope to one day own one.

Pascale Judet

I fell in love with the miniature clocks of Pascale Judet many years ago at a museum gift store. At the time, I had hoped to receive one as a wedding present or graduation present or something similar. Years later, I still find myself craving one of her clocks. I think the one shown above is my favorite of her designs, though I like many styles.

Precious Jewelry

I'm a collecter of owls. For the most part, I am trying to confine my owl collecting to pieces that will go in my kitchen. The main exception to this rule is owl jewelry. I love it, and I want it when I see it. My favorite owl necklace can be found at Leviticus Jewelry. I don't know where she finds the charms, but it is the best one I've ever found online. Lovely.

The Tao of Tea

For most of my life, I've been a tea drinker. Even as a wee preschooler, my grandma and I would have tea parties, never coffee parties. For the most part, that's carried on for the rest of my life, although I must admit to drinking my fair share of coffee these days. It just goes along with academia.
Living in London heightened my tea drinking, and I've found that the best tea in the world is made by Whittard of Chelsea. I drank gallons of their tea in my flat in London, and I often dream of it at home in California. I like my tea strong, with two lumps of sugar, and a dash of cream. For that purpose, Whittard's Sticky Toffee Pudding loose tea can't be beat. I prefer straining loose tea rather than using an infuser, and Whittard also offers a utilitarian strainer I like. I also favor their Dreamtime Instant tea for relaxing before bedtime. I recommend checking out their Hot Chocolate collection as well. Irish Cream, Caramel and Malt-- how decadent!

Summer pointed me in the direction of Herb + Ginger, which seems to be another wonderful tea shop. I'm very interested in the Candytopia and Queen's Caramel teas, which sound like they are sure to satiate my sweet tooth.
Their teapots are quite exquisite as well.

If wishes were horses, I'd ride and ride.

My first post, with a small introduction. I started this blog in part because of Summer, and in part because I want some place to collect all the amazing things I find available on the internet. Perhaps one day, when I am more settled and in a stable career, I can begin to collect these things that brought me so much joy just by looking at them. Until then, welcome to my wishlist.
Oh, and I suppose gifts are nice too.
